Terms and Conditions for Babysitting

Welcome to San Francisco Sitters!

These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of San Francisco Sitters' babysitting services.

• 4 hour minimum for each job booked. You will be billed for at least 4 hours.

• The first hour of services is charged upon confirmation of your booking. It is nonrefundable and nontransferable. We strictly enforce a 72-hour cancellation and modification policy. See below.

• You will be charged for the number of hours you originally booked over the 4 hr minimum. If you return early, you will be billed in full for the number of hours reserved for the sitter to work.

  EX: if you booked 12a-9p, you will be charged for the entire 9 hours, even if you return after only 7 hours.

• Automatic 20% gratuity added for jobs that are 7+ hrs or 4 or more children (4 hour minimum).

• Automatic 20% gratuity added for the following holidays: Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day

• Cancellation policy. If you cancel your reservation with less than 72 hours notice for any reason, you will be charged the 4 hour minimum. This applies for each day and each scheduled sitter. Due to the scheduling difficulties within the childcare industry, we adhere to our cancellation policy so that we are able to continue to offer our services to our San Francisco Bay Area Residents and Visitors. Thank you for your understanding.

• Once you cancel your reservation, you may not "change your mind" without penalty. If you cancel within 72 hours of your scheduled reservation, you will be charged. If you call back an hour later and change your mind, you will be charged for the cancellation in addition to the new sitter booked for the same date and time.

• All cancellations and changes must be made through San Francisco Sitters and not your sitter. Cancellation charges will apply if you cancel last minute through your sitter.

• Last-minute (day of) reservations are final; once the sitter is confirmed, you will be charged the 4 hr minimum even if you change your mind, even 1 hour after you have made the reservation. Day of reservations are subject to a last-minute fee.

• The rate for multiple sitters is not the standard rate divided in half. Instead, the number of children will be divided and each sitter will charge for their half of the children. i.e 8 children with two sitters, each sitter will charge for 4 children.

• There is a maximum of 5 children per sitter at any given time.

• It is our priority to book a consistent sitter for multiple-day babysitting or evening jobs, but it is not a guarantee. Please book in advance to better accommodate these requests.

• If a sitter travels outside of San Francisco City limits, a $20-$100 transportation fee is added to the bill for each job booked, dependent upon distance from San Francisco City limits.

• If you would like to change your start time to earlier than originally scheduled, we will do our best to accommodate the time change. If the sitter is unavailable, then the original start time will remain. If you would like to push your time to later and the request is made with less than 72 hours notice, the sitter will arrive at a later time, but you will be billed for the original start time.

• If your child is sick, we reserve the right to remove our sitter, and we will not replace the sitter. You will be charged the 4 hr minimum if we need to remove the sitter.

• You will be charged for any child left with a sitter who is under the age of 18 years old. The sitter will be responsible for any child left in their care in the event of an emergency.

• You will be charged for your sitter's parking fees and extracurricular activities, if applicable.

• Payment in full is required at the end of your sitting service. We accept all major credit cards or Venmo. If payment is not received for any reason, a $50 late fee will be added for each delayed day of payment.

• All declined payments for any reason are subject to an additional inconvenience fee.

• Our sitters are not permitted to drive a car, drive a motor vehicle of any kind, or swim with children they are responsible for due to our liability insurance.

• Late end— reservations ending at midnight or after will have an automatic 20% gratuity added to the total.

• Reservations confirmed with four hours or less notice will be charged an additional $100 flat fee and will automatically have 20% gratuity added to the total.

• Early Start— reservations beginning between 12 a.m and 6 a.m. will have an automatic 20% gratuity added to the total.

• San Francisco Sitters LLC is a fully licensed and insured company.

• All sitters are thoroughly vetted with multiple interviews, including a face-to-face interview, multiple verified childcare references, and are CPR certified. They are all Trustline verified (thorough background check).
