Can my sitter take my kids out to do something fun?

Yes! Although the sitter cannot drive the children, transportation can be arranged, or they can use public transit. There are a ton of children's museums and fun activities for children in the city. You will be responsible for the additional cost of transit should you wish to have the sitter take your children out.

How does your service work?

We offer fully vetted, reliable babysitters throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Our process takes the effort out of vetting a babysitter yourself while also providing quality professional sitters.

My child is sick, but I have somewhere I have to be, can you send me a sitter?

Sadly, no. Our policy is that we do not provide sitting services to sick children. Please review our terms and conditions.

Do you have a facility to drop off children?

No, San Francisco Sitters comes to you.

I have a 16 year old that does not need "babysitting," but will be present when the sitter is here. Do I have to pay for my 16 year old?

Yes, unless the child is over 18 years old, the sitter will be held responsible for making sure everyone is safe in the unlikely case of an emergency. You will be charged for any minor that is present while the sitter is there.

Do I need to tip my sitter?

It is customary to add gratuity if you are happy with your experience. It is greatly appreciated by the sitters, and all of the gratuities go directly to them.

If I use a sitter for 2 hours one day and 2 hours the next day can I add them together for the 4 hour minimum?

Unfortunately no. You will be charged the 4 hour minimum each time a sitter comes to babysit your children.

Are your sitters properly vetted?

With the sensitive nature of our business, we take great care in choosing our SF Sitters team. Sitters must be 18 years or older, currently CPR certified, have passed a background check and achieved Trustline Certification, and have childcare-specific verified references after our virtual and in-person interviews. Most of our sitters work with children as their careers. We have an amazing team of reliable sitters that uphold the highest standard of care for children in their charge.
